Before everyone goes WTF. This is another photo done for Guest Directed Self. This is for prompt five which says this:

for portrait number five, i would like you to choose a song that is important to you. find the emotion it stirs up in you and run with it. show me how you listen to it, show me what it makes you feel, show me what it makes you want to do. (for example, if i were to pick a judas priest song, i would ideally take a picture of myself slaying a dragon…but that’s sadly not possible…so i’d take a picture of myself driving down the highway going 88mph and holding my fist up in the style of Rob Halford, rocking out with all of my might.)

for this prompt, in particular, video would be fantastic, because i’m certain that many of you would be inspired to dance, or move around in some manner; however, it is not necessary.

While I can’t say that any one of these songs are important to me I took this prompt in a different route. I asked tons of people the songs that they found most depressive. The list of these songs (excluding very few) are listed below. I listened to or read each of the lyrics to these songs. There are far far too many sad songs out there and this is how it made me feel. I only had one shot at this photo. So here it is. Guest Directed # 5
